prism 200 through-wall radar now available in the US

• Compact 'through-wall' radar sensing device gives security forces tactical advantages in entry, siege or hostage situations

Cambridge Consultants has launched its successful prism 200 through-wall radar in the USA. prism 200 is a sensing device to locate people on the other side of a wall in dangerous and high risk situations.  The briefcase-sized product, which can be carried and used with one hand, employs sophisticated software to evaluate the position and movement of people in rooms and buildings both at the site of deployment and remotely on a laptop screen.  

prism 200 is already in use with national security agencies, security services, emergency services, the military and special forces throughout the world to improve safety and discretion in surveillance exercises when managing hostage situations or when searching a building for criminals or terrorists.

The device incorporates three advances that make through-wall radar technology a highly practical proposition for security personnel: a radar device that is battery-powered and highly portable; smart radar signal processing that senses human movement and position - even in environments such as modern offices with a number reflecting surfaces; and meaningful data presentation both on-device and remotely in forms to suit the user, including front, side and overhead as well as 3D views.

prism 200 can be used either as a handheld or stand-off sensor.  Should the user feel threatened, the device can be mounted on a tripod and data remotely accessed via its TCP/IP port on a laptop with the relevant software.  In addition to providing full user control, the software also logs all events as they are viewed.
