Raab Karcher Energy Service chooses CCL for innovation partnership

Cambridge Consultants Limited (CCL®) is working with German metering suppliers Raab Karcher to update their technical resources and develop new products for the next millennium

The Raab Karcher Energy Service GmbH of Essen has earned a world-wide reputation as a leading specialist in the measuring and processing of heat and water consumption data. Raab Karcher's management objective for the next ten years is to update all the manual heat and water meters in its inventory. The reading and processing of data from these meters is to be fully automated and electronically integrated with the business processes of its customers.

To succeed with this ambitious concept, Raab Karcher has chosen CCL to develop the innovative products it requires. CCL has expert knowledge in the areas of electronic and industrial design, and has a history of developing volume products for the metering industry.

CCL has expertise in design for manufacture and test, and in taking innovative products through to successful production. CCL's managing director in Germany, Dr Hendrik Helms, commented that "we will assist Raab Karcher Energy Service in the development of its key next generation products, and thus help the firm fulfil the goal it has set itself for the year 2006."

Prior to this project, the two companies developed close co-operation ties while carrying out several pre-development studies in radio technology and integration.
