Consultant – Healthcare
Main purpose of the job
Your primary role will be to use your technical and commercial acumen to manage and to create value on projects for medical device, clinical diagnostics, medtech and pharmaceutical companies.

Our consulting activities are centred primarily in the UK and Northern Europe, and the USA, although most of the work is based in the Cambridge office.
Specific responsibilities
You will be taking the lead role in planning, proposal generation, liaison with clients and project management of teams. You will also use your strong technical and commercial skills to make a significant contribution to consultancy projects, often working on more than one concurrently,
to achieve this, you will be expected to:
- Lead meetings with clients, give presentations and communicate ideas and concepts to all disciplines
- Support the activities of Business Leaders in sales meetings, writing sales presentations, project proposals and planning projects
- Produce consistently excellent work, in your area of expertise and be sought out for advice in this area within Cambridge Consultants
- Take a role in developing new product offerings in the company through the recruitment, training and mentoring of analysts
Minimum requirements
To meet the demanding requirements of this role you will have an excellent first degree in chemistry, engineering, biochemistry, physics, pharmacology or related area, a PhD and or a MBA would be an advantage. You should also have experience in and a good knowledge of the medical devices industry in a product management, business development or project management role preferably in a multinational company. Experience of consultancy with medical device companies would be an advantage. You will have a track record of delivering challenging projects against tight time and budget constraints.
You will have a proven ability to lead teams and have the ability to analyse and communicate commercial and technical recommendations both within the project team and to clients.
